2013 closing and 2014 new dawn

I have been side tracked a lot in 2013. Like most of you, life took a front seat and writing took a back seat almost to the trunk seat. I was promoted and then took over a new team and the challenges; well they are what they are. I got married. My daughter (one of them) got married. My daughter (a different one) moved to Georgia. A lot happened in 2013 and I want to remember it all, grow from it and move to another zone (mentally, spiritually, emotionally, physically) in the new year.

So 2014 is for me.

I hope to write daily. I want to hear what others are doing. I do have a strategy in place to blog regularly. But I will be on vacation/honeymoon in January from the 15th to the 29th in Cancun so my best laid plans will be skewered just a little but not derailed.

Let’s make 2014 the year we create the best work we can in the place we’re in right now. No sloppy, poorly edited, typo driven stories but stories that make people think long after the last page has been turned. Stories that are entertaining and inspiring. Can you do that? I know I will try. As long as I aim high, my mark will be better than aiming for the lowest common denominator.

Write to view the world through words.
